The jury has reached a decision on which are the standout works from this year’s Felix Schoeller Photo Award and has selected the best 187 entries out of 2,377 submissions from 92 countries. This selected group of both established and prospective professional photographers represents international contemporary photography in an exceptional way across all five categories, including in the emerging talent category.
All three new jury members of the 2017 Felix Schoeller Photo Award are acknowledged experts in the world of photography. The three are Simone Klein from Magnum Paris, Clara Maria Sels from Duesseldorf Photo Weekend and Julia Sörgel from Welt am Sonntag, Berlin.
The next Felix Schoeller Photo Award has already been casting its shadow over those working in the background for some time. The revision of the conditions for entry, which will be published on this site as of November 2016, will be significant for all entrants.
