7,000 visitors within two and a half months speak for themselves: the “Winners & Nominees” images for the internationally renowned Felix Schoeller Photo Award have met with such great interest among photography fans from Osnabrück and the region, that the exhibition is being extended. The winning photos and images from nominees can be seen until 22nd April in the Museum of Cultural History of Osnabrück´s Museumsquartier.

“We’re really pleased that the exhibition has been so successful. With the extension we would like to give even more people the chance to experience these extraordinary photographic works”, commented Nils-Arne Kässens, Director of the Osnabrück Museumsquartier. Many photographs from the exhibition delight the eye with their strong compositions, but are only pleasant at first glance. Unusual perspectives and themes encourage the visitor to embark upon a journey of discovery with their eyes and thoughts.

Sniper: a conversation with the overall winner, Matt Hulse

The Artist Talk with overall winner Matt Hulse will also be a special journey of discovery. With the eye of a sniper, the photographer and filmmaker started out capturing people with his camera from the rooftops of tall buildings for his winning series. Matt Hulse will be present at the Artist Talk and film-screening in Osnabrück, upon the invitation of Nils-Arne Kässens. The artist will be speaking about the genesis of his prize-winning photo “Sniper”, his artistic self-awareness and will be presenting several of his short films.
